Some weeks remind you just how lucky you are to have good people beside you.
And then there’s Darcy & Lara… whatever the hell is going on here.
These two don’t just look after our little Kaltiva café and behind the scenes, they’re a huge part of what gives it its personality. They know our customers, they bring the laughs, they put in the work and, when things get crazy, they just get on with it.
And the best part? It’s not just this week. They show up like this week after week.
So from the Big Boss… and the other Big Boss Chelsea, currently enjoying some very well-earned leave, thank you. We see the effort, we appreciate everything you do, and Kaltiva simply wouldn’t be the same without you two nutters.
Good businesses need good people.

Some customers become friends. Some pretty much become family.
We’ve been lucky enough to work with these guys across different businesses over the years, so seeing what they’ve now created with Forest & Fire in Nannup is pretty bloody special.
And they’ve absolutely nailed it.
Beautiful food, an incredible setting, high-end dining without losing that warm family feel and quite possibly one of the best hospitality teams we’ve come across.
The staff are exceptional. Genuine, friendly, bloody good at what they do and still delivering that old-school customer service that makes you want to stay another hour.
For Kaltiva, having our coffee behind their bar isn’t just another account.
It’s another chapter with people who have supported us, trusted what we do and taken Kaltiva along for the ride. We’re incredibly grateful for that. 🤎
And yes… their espresso martinis are dangerously good. Quality control may have required a second. 🍸
So if you’re planning a trip anywhere down south, put Forest & Fire, Nannup on the list. Don’t just stop in if you’re passing make Nannup part of the trip.
Go for the food. Stay for the people. Have the espresso martini.
And grab a bag of Kaltiva on the way out. 😉

We spend a lot of time talking about hard work, but rest is part of the journey too.
Tomorrow the Kaltiva team is taking a day off to recharge after another big week.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our little roastery / cafe. Every coffee, every conversation and every recommendation means more than you know.
If you need your coffee fix tomorrow, head over to our friends Cafe Ya Here Espresso & Kitchen in Landsdale. Great people, great food and they’ll make sure you’re looked after.
We’ll see you all Monday morning.

Kaltiva will be closed this Saturday (25/7) as our team enjoys a well-deserved weekend off.
We’re incredibly grateful for all your support, and taking a day to recharge means we can come back refreshed and ready to roast, brew and serve you our best.

For over 7 years, Denise has been part of the Kaltiva journey.
She’s one of the hardest working, kindest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. An incredible woman, an amazing business owner, and the heart behind Cafe 60 on Walter. Every time I walk through her doors, I’m greeted with a smile, a hug, and somehow I never leave hungry.
