ARTIST SPOTLIGHT EXHIBITION!
Saturday 9th of December 6.30-8.30pm
Featuring &
Come join us for the full exhibition of both of these amazing artists who have had their work on display in the cafe the last few weeks.
We have only had a small sample of Gary & Traceys work on display so we are super excited to see the cafe transformed into an art gallery for the evening!
The evening will consist of:
Full display of both artists work.
Light refreshments (free) + other refreshments available for purchase.
The opportunity to speak with artists about what inspires them.
Both artists will be giving a brief presentation/speech on the evening.
Raffle Tickets
You will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to go in the draw to win a piece of art of either or both artists.
Tickets can be paid for either prior to the exhibition in the cafe (perfect if you can’t make it to the evening but still would like to be in with a chance to win!) or of course on the evening.
Tickets are $20 cash or $22.50 via eftpos each and you can purchase as many as you like!
Raffle tickets will be drawn on the evening.

This is our very special mate Kevin and his trusty side kick Pancho!
Many of you may already know Kev, who is here most days and loves to have a good chat!
Unfortunately Kevin lost his beautiful wife, Julie last year to glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
Each year approx. 1900 people (including children) are diagnosed with malignant brain tumours in Australia.
On behalf of Julies family, we are offering the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets in the cafe, with all proceeds being donated to The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation of
Australia.
Julies daughters, Shelby & Ashlyn will contact the winner via phone.

As you know we love to serve you consistently amazing coffee! (also food & chats)
Since we started Second Wind just over a year ago, we have had on average 2-3 price increases per wholesale supplier.
Being such a young cafe and with our main focus on making sure you get top quality coffee, food and service, we have absorbed the majority of these increases, while still maintaining our “not a perfect shot gets dropped” philosophy.
However, as we adjust our sails and focus more on the long term future of Second Wind Surf Cafe, we want to ensure this space is always available and that we are able to continue to provide great food and coffee for the amazing community we have here!
We feel forced to adjust our prices (coffee & alt milks) by 50c.
We are aware that many other cafes have already done this and we have dug our heels in for as long as possible.
We hope everyone can understand these changes and know they were not made lightly.
We so appreciate your continued support, and love having the opportunity to make you top notch coffee!

We are so excited to be welcoming our second artist in our Artist Spotlight series!
Navah Horomona, Navah Kingi Horomona
Navah specialises in hyper-realism and his mediums of choice are graphite, charcoal and paint.
As well as being an amazing artist, he is also a very talented singer songwriter!
Some of Navah’s original pieces will be on display in Second Wind Cafe from this Monday 8/8 for approximately 3-4 weeks.
This will be followed by an “Meet the Artist” exhibition evening, (alongside Moose Custom Surfboards ) where you will be able to meet and learn more about the story, process and journey behind each piece of art.

Public Transport:
1. Take a train to the nearest station, which is Cottesloe Station.
2. From Cottesloe Station, catch bus number 102 towards Fremantle.
3. Get off at the corner of Stirling Highway and McCabe Street.

Driving/Parking:
1. If you are coming from the city center, take Stirling Highway heading west.
2. Continue on Stirling Highway until you reach the intersection with McCabe Street.

- There is limited street parking available on Buckingham Drive and surrounding streets.
