5 YEARS OF ABACUS 🫶🏼

How on earth has it been 5 years?!

Five years of early mornings, crazy days, big big laughs and so many beautiful people who have become part of the Abacus story.

What started as a little dream has grown into something I am so incredibly proud of. Abacus has been so much more than a small business to me, it’s been a huge part of my life. It’s where I’ve met some of the most incredible people, made friendships I’ll treasure, watched little moments turn into lasting memories, and created a place that I hope has always felt a little bit like home to all of you.

I genuinely couldn’t have done it without every single person who has walked through our doors, grabbed a coffee and supported us, cheered us on and continued to choose this little cafe over and over for the past five years.

So, to celebrate 5 years of Abacus, we’re throwing it right back to where it all began…

Over the past few years, the coffee industry has been hit with some pretty big challenges. Climate change has brought more extreme weather to key growing regions, affecting crop yields and quality.

On top of that, rising shipping costs, supply chain pressures, and growing global demand have pushed coffee prices up worldwide. Here in Australia, we’re also feeling the impact of higher freight, labour, and day-to-day operating costs.

We’ve always been committed to serving high quality coffee while supporting the people behind it. To keep doing that, we’ve had to make a small adjustment to our pricing.

It’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly. We genuinely want to keep great coffee accessible to our Leederville community, but this change helps ensure we can continue doing what we love for the long run.

Thanks so much for your understanding and for continuing to support our small business.
