Our first international roaster is a doozy, founded in 2016 by Mathieu Theis and Emi Fukahori.
Mame (meaning beans in Japanese) has the pedigree of two of the finest specialty coffee brewers in the world.
Having met in the world of specialty coffee championships, they left their office jobs at the time to pursue their joint passion.
The accolades that these two share are intimidating to say the least, but it all leads to the quality expressed in the coffee. A commitment to non alienating excellence. Espresso that is well rounded and balanced and filter coffee has zipping with vibrancevibrance and clarity.
Mame has a beautiful philosophy, ‘ the best coffee is the coffee you like’. Boys and girls, do we think you are going to like what they have to offer.

Variety: Bourbon (Wet Fermentation)
Altitude: 1530 MASL
Soil: Hummus-Volcanic
Tasting Notes: red currants, caramel, mango
Nyagashiha (pronounced NIA-GASH-IYA) meaning comes from the historical tree variety that once grew in the Murago region. This tree in Burundi’s local dialect Kurundi was called “Imishiha” and served for the construction of houses within the community.

To reach the coffee shop located on St George's Terrace, Perth there are several options for transportation. If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus or train to the Perth Underground Station and walk approximately 8-10 minutes towards St George's Terrace. Alternatively, you can take a bus that stops near the corner of St George's Terrace and William Street.

There is paid parking available at Carillon City Parking and also Wilson Parking on Murray Street, both within walking distance from St George's Terrace.
