Couldn’t have asked for a better last day at herbs. Despite the weather everyone came down to have their last coffee!
The feeling is a little bittersweet but if I don’t look at this as a positive I’ll never move forward. I don’t mind a bit of fuel to fire up some motivation in me. 🔥 🔥

Thank you for all your support these last 5 years.
Mr Herbert’s was only going to be a hole in the wall coffee shop and it grew into something a bigger organically. I had never worked in hospitality let alone ran a cafe but it didn’t take me long to realise how much I loved it.

A special mention to the herbs team...You guys are the bones of the Business, without you we wouldn’t be Herbies! 💕 We have friends for life in you all!

It’s now time to park up and spend some quality time with the fam!! Second Bub is only 14weeks away so I’m sure I’ll be busy.

It’s so lovely seeing everyone come in during the last week of herbs.
It’s hard not to tear up when I’m working!

Thanks to everyone for being so patient while we get your coffees and food out as fast as we can in our tiny little space.

Remember our last day of trade is this Saturday the 29th May so please keep popping in (maybe buy a kombucha or I’ll be drinking kombucha until 2023 🤣🤣).

Shout out to this guy who’s been at Herbies for 4 and half years now.
I’ll never forget interviewing Jake for the job and I was the one who was petrified. 😂 I’ve grown since then ok! 😂

Jake is a weapon employee and also a friend, I know I can msg him at 430am and he’ll most likely be awake because we are both mad.

Thanks for always a being a black and white straight shooter, I love ya for it!!

I have some sad news...

Unfortunately Saturday the 29th of May 2021 will be Lisa Burns Training Studio & Mr Herbert's Coffee Shop last day of trade.

This was not our decision!

Our lease was coming to an end and we have been trying to get a new lease from our landlord. The landlord wanted us to expand into the carpark next to Mr Herberts, building something extravagant to make sure he got maximum rental return (his words).
I will be 7 months pregnant with a toddler at home and a husband that does shift work and to do such an extreme expansion of the business would not only be costly but physically not possible.
As we were not in a position to do this expansion of the building the landlord decided he will find someone else to do his request.

The thought of not being able to walk to Herbies with the pram and chat with all the amazing people I have met along the way, to visit my team, to teach my classes and see all my clients, the list goes on, is gut wrenching...
The only way I can look at this is that it is meant to be. With a second Bub so close, I can spend the quality early stages with my babies while searching for a new premise.

This is not the end. I will be hiring a room to teach pop up classes, Online BootyBurn classes will still be running and down the track in the not so distant future I plan to reopen Mr Herbert's with an even better set up and I will take on every lesson I have learnt from this experience.

Mr Herbert’s & BootyBurn have both been trade marked, so they are still my babies.

This will take some time to process, I have worked so hard for five years to build both business's to where they are today and to have it pulled out from under me is a lot to take in however I think a break will do some good after 5 years....

September marks Herbies 4th Bday (little late).
We usually have a party but well, covid. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is our team, the bones of the business. I am so proud of these guys, they have helped create this awesome community we have at herbs.
The amount of friendships formed between the team and customers is so wonderful to see.
I don’t know what I would do without herbs, this place brings me so much joy.
Thank you to everyone for their ongoing support, you guys are the best!!
