The era of George’s Meze, after 21years has come to an end. The new owners are changing the name to Yiamas and will reopen in December after a full renovation. You can follow their progress at Yiamas.perth on Instagram. It’s nice to see that the Greek tradition will continue.
Eva and Nick and our lovely staff like to thank you all for your loyal support over the years.

To all our long-term and loyal customers of George’s Meze.
I wish to advise that after 21 years of running George’s Meze, it is time for me to retire and start a new chapter of my life. I have sold the restaurant with the final dinner service on
Saturday 27th August.
Firstly, from myself, Nick, our manager, the Kitchen and Wait staff, we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge your wonderful patronage
for all those years and thank you for all the 5 star reviews and feedback.
Secondly, we want to say, we have met so many lovely people over the years and that is something we will miss. However, nothing is forever and it’s time to move on and with new owners they will bring new energy and enthusiasm.
The new owners Michael, Laurence and Phillip (greek heritage) are excited about the opportunity at George's Meze.
They want to bring the food and the vibe of their previous Greek pop up "the Swanny Collective" and currently the souvlakis they do every Friday in Subiaco at "Community coffee co"
Their plans will be to close for a couple of months to do a refit, but they will stay in touch with everyone on the progression of everything via
newsletter/ Instagram.
Our best wishes to all of our customers for the future and we hope you will continue to support the new owners.

Our Sunday Sioux chef will be having a baby soon and we have not found an adequate replacement. Especially a chef as wonderful as Mila is. We wish her all the best.
We will hopefully open on Sundays once again, and we hope for a pandemic free future. The old normal.

We are looking for a waitperson who has experience and maturity to manage lunch and dinner service unsupervised.
