A lovely afternoon with Matt Bowness, the w**emaker behind Fairbrossen Wines in Margaret River.
We spent some time tasting his w**es alongside a few dishes from Stanley’s menu, exploring how the flavours work together and hearing the stories behind each bottle.
Always a pleasure meeting passionate local w**emakers who put so much care into what they do.
We’re working on bringing something a little different and special to Bistro Stanley’s w**e list this spring and summer.
Good food deserves good w**e, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming.

An unexpected birthday surprise for Michael!
Carol and Rick, a lovely couple visiting family in Winthrop from Queensland, asked Michael if he collected vintage cameras. To his surprise, they gifted him this wonderful collection on his birthday!
But what touched him most wasn’t just the gift. It was their kind words, encouraging him to keep doing what he loves at Bistro Stanley.
Running a bistro isn’t always easy, but it’s moments like these that make it all worthwhile.

Every season has its favourite. As the warmer months roll in, our slow-cooked lamb shank is taking its winter bow.
Tender meat falling from the bone, red w**e jus, creamy mash and a little chimichurri. Comfort on a plate, made for the cooler nights we are about to leave behind.
On the menu until the end of next week, or while stock lasts. Once it is gone, it rests until next season.
Dinner, Wednesday to Saturday.

A big thank you to all the amazing dads, families and friends who celebrated Father’s Day with us at Stanley.
It was wonderful to see the café so full of good food, great coffee, conversations and family moments throughout the day. We loved being part of your celebrations and hope every Dad enjoyed a well-deserved treat and including a drink on us.
Thank you as well to everyone who joined our Father’s Day Lucky Draw and helped make the week even more special.
