The final day.
And a heart completely full.
Today was another blessed day.
Everything was sold.
But more than that, everything was felt.
People didn’t come just to buy food.
They came to support, to hug, to look us in the eyes and say, “we’re here.”
They came with kindness, with affection, with presence.
They came with love.
And today I found myself asking:
what does a successful business really mean?
For some, success is growth, expansion, franchises, numbers.
But Rio 40 taught me something different.
Success can also be simple.
Honest.
Humble.
Doing what you love, with integrity and heart.
Success is ending a chapter like this:
with empty shelves
and a full soul.
No amount of money in the world can buy the hugs we received today.
Nothing pays for the love, the respect, the support we felt.
These are the final shots.
The final chapter.
A story closed in the most beautiful way possible.
Thank you.
To every single person who came, who showed up, who supported us, who loved us.
This, to me, is success.

All versions of Rio 40. All legitimate. All true.
Building a business is not easy. Building a name outside your home country, while introducing a culture and food that many people don’t yet know, requires courage, consistency and deep commitment.
I don’t call it luck. I call it a blessing.
The blessing of attracting the right people, incredible customers, wonderful professionals, and support that turned into respect, affection and friendship along the way.
If I leave a message, it is a simple and honest one.
To those who arrived later:
honour, with loyalty, the history that has been built around Brazilian food in this city.
May there be respect, ethics and healthy competition — because when one grows with integrity, everyone grows together.
To those who dream of starting something:
plan carefully, persist, and always put love first. Nothing created with dedication and truth is ever wasted.
My deepest thank you to everyone who, in every phase, never let go of my hand.
And today, this chapter — this final season — comes to an end.

Today was our second-to-last day…
and what a day 🤍
A partnership that walked alongside us for so long turned into a true gift.
brought the forró, together with our talented , and created such a beautiful gathering that the place filled up, the energy went through the roof! It was vibrant, joyful, and full of life, exactly how it was meant to be.
Seeing people coming in just to give a hug, to wish us success in the next chapter, friends being present, sharing kind words… that means everything.
I couldn’t take photos with everyone, but please know this: every single person who came by today meant so much to me!
Closing a cycle is never easy.
Usually, a business closes its doors and that’s it.
But closing like this, with the community showing up, offering support, love, music and smiles, truly left me over the moon.
My heart is full of gratitude, pride for the story we built, and peace for ending this chapter with such high energy.
And tomorrow… there’s more.
One last day. One last chance to share this moment with us.

Some cycles deserve a proper ending. And this one certainly deserves something special! 👩🏻🍳
To mark this final moment, we’re bringing back what has always been a success every time we did it:
✨ our Pastelada with Sugarcane Juice,
❄️ a selection of our frozen foods (available stock),
🥟 Brazilian savoury snacks,
🍲 and our much-loved feijoada, a true part of Rio 40’s story.
A farewell the way it has always been: good food, simplicity, warmth, and deep gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey.

Last day of the year!
And an important update.
Next weekend will be the final days that Rio 40 in Malaga will be open. It will be our last weekend welcoming customers into the shop, closing a cycle of 10 years of history.
I want to sincerely thank every customer, friend and family member who has been part of this journey. My wish is that everyone who walked alongside us carries forward health, success and love into the year ahead.
This final weekend, we will be serving our full menu:
salgados, pastéis, our traditional feijoada, and our frozen range — all prepared with the same care as always. Our intention is to close this chapter with presence, gratitude and respect for everything that was built.

All Christmas Menu orders from Rio 40 have now been completed. 👩🏻🍳
And yes — this tired face says it all.
After three intense days in the kitchen, cooking non-stop and doing it all on my own, I had a lot of time to think. Between one dish and another, a whole film played in my mind. A mix of reflection, gratitude, and deep respect for the story and legacy built here.
Every dish that left this kitchen carried more than food. It carried care, presence, and a commitment to always deliver the best — to honour every table, every family, and every customer who trusted Rio 40 over the years.
This Christmas menu marks the closing of an important chapter. A cycle built with intention, honesty and love. Rio 40 will remain open until 4 January, our final day of operation. Until then, we are still here — with full freezers, open doors, and the same dedication that has always defined everything we do.
What is built with integrity remains. What has fulfilled its purpose comes to a close with gratitude. We continue to honour this journey until the very last day.

It’s time to say goodbye! ❤️
The Rio 40 shop in Malaga will be permanently closing.
We will remain open for the next two weekends, with our shop running as usual — hot food being served and our freezers fully stocked for those who regularly rely on our frozen food.
🗓 Our last day of operation will be Saturday, 4 January.
This is not a seasonal closure, but the conclusion of this chapter for Rio 40.
Thank you all for being part of our journey and for all the support over the last 10 years. 🤍
