Tartan Spice Indian Restaurant, located on Mead Street in Perth, has received mixed reviews from various sources. The most recent review comes from a local newspaper that praised the restaurant's "authentic and flavorful dishes" but criticized the slow service. Another newspaper review, which is slightly older, also commended the food but noted that the restaurant's decor was outdated.
A magazine review from a few months ago raved about Tartan Spice's lamb curry and naan bread but mentioned that some of the other dishes were too spicy for their taste. An online review from last week echoed this sentiment, stating that while they enjoyed their meal overall, some of the dishes were too hot for them to handle.
On the other hand, an online reviewer from a few months ago had a completely different experience. They complained about the lack of vegetarian options and said that their chicken dish was dry and overcooked. Another online reviewer from last month mentioned that they found a hair in their food and were disappointed with how it was handled by the staff.
Despite these mixed reviews, there are also many positive comments from customers who have visited Tartan Spice Indian Restaurant. One customer wrote on an online review site: "The food here is amazing! I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed." Another customer commented on social media: "The service can be slow at times, but it's worth it for the delicious food."
Overall, it seems that Tartan Spice Indian Restaurant has its ups and downs when it comes to customer satisfaction. While some reviewers have had negative experiences with certain aspects of the restaurant such as service or spice levels, others have consistently enjoyed their meals there. It may be worth giving this restaurant a try if you're in Perth and looking for authentic Indian cuisine.
