Well youâre not alone.
For a restaurant thatâs been part of the Perth dining scene for more than 30 years, weâre constantly meeting people who either didnât know we were here, or thought we were only a wedding venue.
The truth is, weâre open for lunch, dinner, drinks, special occasions, date nights, long lunches and everything in between.
Add Swan River views, the Perth city skyline, a seasonal menu and one of the best sunset spots in the city, and weâre not entirely sure why weâre still Perthâs best-kept secret.
Maybe itâs time you found out what youâve been missing đ

Meet Ivan, our new Sommelier đ·
Wine wasnât something Ivan discovered... it was something he grew up with. Raised in a family with a deep passion for the craft, his grandfather was a winemaker in Piedmont, and that early connection to the vine shaped everything that followed.
To turn passion into profession, Ivan spent three years studying in Florence with the Italian Sommelier Association, completing his certification with the Associazione Italiana Sommelier. Now he brings that expertise, that heritage and that genuine love of wine to every table at Matilda Bay.
Next time youâre in, ask Ivan for a recommendation. We have a feeling you wonât be disappointed đŸ

The freshest dinner plans youâll make this weekđŠ
Our West Australian crayfish doesnât spend much time travelling. Caught fresh off the Geraldton coast, it makes its way straight to Perth, onto the chargrill, and onto your table overlooking the bay. What happens next is up to you... chargrilled whole and basted your way with brandy, chilli, garlic, pepper, or the lot.
Fresh. Local. $59. And right now, right here on the Swan River for a limited time only!

Our new dessert menu has arrived, featuring everything from Valrhona chocolate crĂ©meux with almond praline and citrus, to poached pear with white chocolate ganache, a classic mille-feuille with vanilla crĂšme diplomat, and our bright St Clementâs tart with grapefruit and citrus salsa.
