This isn't dinner. It's a journey through Italy.
On Thursday 29 October, Guy Grossi and Paolo Apuzzo take you on a culinary journey through Italy in celebration of West Australian Opera's upcoming 60th anniversary. Four courses, four regions, one evening.
Each course is paired with Leeuwin Estate wines, including rare museum releases, and preceded by a live performance from WA Opera artists Naomi Johns and Paul O'Neill.

Ever wondered what "Garum" actually means?
Two thousand years ago, it was worth more than gold - a fermented fish sauce so prized, entire factories lined the Mediterranean coast just to produce it.
Cured in salt for weeks, sometimes months, it defined the flavour of Roman cuisine, added to everything from roasted meats to bread.
It's where our name comes from, and the tradition that inspires us.

Our sold-out La Cucina della Nonna brought Garum to life, with Guy Grossi and Paolo Apuzzo in the kitchen, nonnas keeping us on our toes, delicious food on the table, and plenty of stories shared along the way.
Grazie mille to everyone who joined us for this very special evening as part of Plateful Perth, and to David Moulton from Cape Mentelle for expertly guiding us through each incredible wine pairing.
