Hey crew! It is with a hint of sadness coupled with a sense of excitement that old Grumpy is leaving the Grumpy sailor this Friday !
Old grumpy is a little sad because he’s leaving his crew behind! The best crew a sailor can ever ask for ! We are a close knit team and through thick and thin we have weathered all storms, may it be the hectic day to day runnings of a busy cafe or navigating the uncertainty of a pandemic, my crew did it with poise elegance and humour ! The culture and success of any business is its people ! It is you guys that have made the grumpy sailor what it is today, and for that I am forever grateful . So to all my staff both present and past! THANK-YOU! Equally thank you to all our beautiful customers ! From the ones that stumbled across us by accident to those customers who have come to us from the vey beginning, old grumpy will truely miss you all! I will miss our conversations, our banter our jokes your patience at times and insights always amazes me!!!!
Old grumpy is also very excited ! The new owners TOM and JENNY are so lovely , they understand what The grumpy sailor is about , though I am sure they will have awesome ideas to elevate the business to another level our core values of being genuine ,unassuming, a place to forget about the outside world even for a few minutes will always be our mantra!! So as old grumpy sails off into the sunset … for the last time … OLD GRUMPY LOVES YOUSE ALL!!!!
