THE STORM CAN’T KEEP US SHUT ANYMORE!
Our power was restored yesterday (Tuesday 2nd June) and we have worked through the night to open the doors this morning (Wednesday 3rd June) at 7.30am. Fresh milk and bread, fresh fruit and veg, fresh hot chickens and pizza, fresh coffee and cakes, etc. will be ready for you. Thanks guys and see you soon.

After 3 dark days we finally have power and our night crew have arrived!
It’s Tuesday night (2nd June) and we are clearing out the old stock and bringing in the new stock ready to open up tomorrow morning (Wednesday 3rd June) at 7.30am. Thank you to all our customers for your patience and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you for supporting local business during this difficult time.

For the past three days, our doors have remained closed due to an unexpected power outage caused by an error outside of our control. Like many others in our community, we have been without power and have faced significant losses as a result.
First and foremost, we want to thank each and every one of our customers for your incredible patience, understanding, and support during this challenging time. Your kindness and encouragement have meant more to us than words can express.
Our hearts are also with our neighbours and fellow local businesses who are still without power. We know how difficult and frustrating these past few days have been, and we are thinking of everyone in our suburb who continues to be affected.
Behind the scenes, our team has been working tirelessly to get everything back up and running. Despite the setbacks, our staff have shown remarkable dedication, working hard to rebuild and restock so we can continue serving our community.
We are hopeful that we will be reopening very soon — possibly as early as tonight — and we can't wait to see everyone back in store.
Thank you for standing by us. Supporting small and local businesses has never meant more, and we are so grateful to be part of such a resilient community.

BUY FRESH AND EAT FRESH AT G&C!
Did you know that up to 40% of the nutritional value of fresh vegetables are lost within 3 days from harvest?
This is why we pick up freshly cut vegetables from our growers market in Canningvale six days a week. We would go everyday if we could! (Unfortunately they only open six days a week).
Some shops only go twice a week and the larger supermarkets get most of their produce from over east so unfortunately the nutritional value drops significantly but we pride ourselves on going as much as possible. Fresh is best!
