International students are being hit again.
Temporary Graduate visa fees have risen from $2,300 to $5,750 in just four months, while student visa fees are now rising from $1,600 to $2,500*.
The Curtin Student Guild rejects these unfair fee hikes. International students are not cash cows. They are our classmates, workers, researchers and community members.
At a time when One Nation is attacking international students and migration, the Federal Labor Government should be standing with students, not making them pay more.
The Guild will keep working hard to raise international student concerns, push back against unfair policy changes, and fight for students to be treated with fairness, stability and respect.
Reverse the fee hikes. Respect international students.

β οΈ A quick check-in on your digital safety this semester
From emails and logins to deliveries and payments, uni life runs online, so itβs worth taking a moment to stay cyber aware.
Weβre seeing more messages that appear to come from trusted organisations (like government agencies, banks or service providers) but arenβt always what they seem. Not everything that looks official is legitimate so itβs worth taking a second look.
π‘ A few simple habits can go a long way:
β’ Pause before clicking or responding
β’ Double-check links and senders
β’ Use strong passwords + extra security
β’ Avoid sending money or sensitive info without verifying first - contact the organisation directly using their official details
And if youβre unsure, donβt stress β reach out to someone you trust or the Guild for support.

β οΈ Heads up!
Curtin has advised that the lifts in Building 400 and Building 209 will be closed for replacement works over the coming months, which may impact access to Semester 2 classes as both buildings have only one lift.
Students affected should contact [email protected] as soon as possible so alternative arrangements can be made.
The Guild Accessibility Department continues to work hard to ensure Curtin is accessible for all students.
Address
Building 104, Curtin University, Kent Street
Bentley, WA
6102
Directions to the cafeteria located at Kent Street in Perth can be reached via public transport or personal vehicle.
Public Transport: Take any bus or train to the Perth CBD. From there, take the yellow CAT bus towards Victoria Park and alight at the stop nearest to Kent Street. Walk along Kent Street until you reach the cafeteria which should be on your right.
Driving/Parking: From Perth CBD, drive south on William St until you reach Newcastle St and turn right onto it. Then turn left onto Lord St and continue straight on it until you hit Bennett St where you turn right, followed by a left onto Kent St. The cafeteria should be visible at that point on your left-hand side. There is limited parking available nearby, hence taking public transport is highly recommended.
