🚗 Free parking is back for exam week (1st-12th June)! One less thing to stress about while you focus on exams 📚
Parking is free in green, yellow, white, blue and Equipark zones during exam week, but make sure you’re still parking in the right spots!
Infringements still apply, so avoid:
• Reserved or courtesy bays
• Short-term spaces
• IGA Tucker Fresh 30 or 90-minute bays
• ACROD bays (unless permitted)
No need to use CellOPark during this time either ✅If you accidentally activate it, you’ll just get a reminder that payment isn’t required, no stress 👍
Good luck, you’ve got this 💪✨

Struggling with rent or living costs?
The Semester 2 On-Campus Accommodation Equity Bursary opens Tuesday, 2 June — designed to support students experiencing financial pressure while living on campus.
If you're studying at Curtin and living (or planning to live) in Bentley or Kalgoorlie accommodation, you may be eligible.
✔️ Domestic & international students
✔️ Enrolled in Semester 2 (min. 25 credits)
✔️ Living or applying for Curtin residences
✔️ Financial hardship or changed circumstances
Applications open on the 2nd of June 2026, and closes on the 2nd of November 2026. Check if you are eligible by clicking the links in the bio.
⚠️ Important: Receiving this bursary doesn’t guarantee accommodation. You’ll still need to apply separately for on-campus housing. Offers are conditional on receiving a place in eligible accommodation for Semester 2, 2026.

Exam brain got you feeling like an NPC running side quests for 15 weeks straight? Same.
📚🍳FREE BRINNER by the Koi Pond from 5PM 🍳📚
Because during exams, time is fake, meals are confusing, and “second breakfast” has evolved into… whatever this is.
Swap the stress for pancakes, the all-nighters for something actually nourishing, and remember: even Frodo needed snack breaks on the way to Mount Doom. Consider this your fellowship refuel moment.
🕔 From 5PM, Friday 29th May & 5th June
📍By the Koi Pond
🥞 Free food, study fuel, emotional support carbs, and mild delusion
One does not simply… skip Brinner.

🚗🚌 Parking and public transport at Curtin are broken.
Students are spending up to an hour searching for parking, paying more due to the loss of cheaper green bays, and struggling with overcrowded, and unreliable bus services to campus.
Students are arriving late to class, missing lectures, and paying the price during a cost of living crisis.
Meanwhile, hundreds of parking bays have disappeared due to construction projects while practical solutions continue getting stuck in bureaucracy.
The Guild is fighting for:
✔ Free parking for carpooling
✔ Free parking during exams
✔ More cheaper green bays
✔ Permanent Food for Fines
✔ Expanded CurtinLink & express buses
✔ Fuel support for placements & research
✔ A multi deck carpark
Students should not be priced out of getting to uni.
Enough is enough.

Ending no-grounds evictions and introducing minimum standards are major wins for renters in WA and proof that real reform is possible when people organise and fight for change.
We’re proud to be part of the Make Renting Fair WA alliance pushing for stronger protections and fairer housing for students and renters across the state.
But the fight doesn’t stop here.
Next, we want to see the Residential Tenancies Act expanded to cover student accommodation, boarders and lodgers, including students living in share houses, so students are no longer locked out of basic legal protections because of how their housing is structured.
Curtin Student Accommodation could get ahead of the curve right now by giving students the same rights and protections they would receive under the Residential Tenancies Act. The reality is they are currently choosing not to.
Minimum standards must also apply to all student housing, including mandatory air conditioning. No student should be forced to live in unsafe heat conditions.
We’ll keep fighting until every renter, including every student renter, has the protections they deserve.
Address
Building 104, Curtin University, Kent Street
Bentley, WA

Directions to the cafeteria located at Kent Street in Perth can be reached via public transport or personal vehicle.
Public Transport: Take any bus or train to the Perth CBD. From there, take the yellow CAT bus towards Victoria Park and alight at the stop nearest to Kent Street. Walk along Kent Street until you reach the cafeteria which should be on your right.
Driving/Parking: From Perth CBD, drive south on William St until you reach Newcastle St and turn right onto it. Then turn left onto Lord St and continue straight on it until you hit Bennett St where you turn right, followed by a left onto Kent St. The cafeteria should be visible at that point on your left-hand side. There is limited parking available nearby, hence taking public transport is highly recommended.
