Dear Valued Customers,

As the WA plastic ban came into effect on 30 August 2026, we are moving from plastic to paper takeaway containers. We will continue to use our existing plastic stock that was purchased before the ban.

We support this change for the benefit of our environment. However, the new paper containers and lids cost us around 46 cents each, which is a significant additional cost for a small business.

We kindly ask for your understanding and continued support while we make this transition.

🙏 A Small Request to Our Valued Customers ❤️

Firstly, thank you for your amazing support of Guru Spices. We truly appreciate every one of you.

Lately, we’ve had quite a few last-minute cancellations and “no-shows.” As a small family-run restaurant with limited seating, this has a big impact on us. We reserve tables especially for our booked guests, and when reservations are cancelled at the last minute—or guests don’t arrive—we often can’t fill those tables. Unfortunately, this also means other customers who wanted to dine with us may have missed out.

We kindly ask that if you make a reservation, please do your best to keep it. If your plans change, we’d really appreciate as much notice as possible, preferably before 5:00 pm on the day of your booking. This gives us the opportunity to offer your table to someone else.

Your understanding and support mean the world to our small business and help us continue serving our community.

In the winter season, spicy curry just hits differently—it brings warmth and comfort to both the body and soul. 😊
This place is very cozy and comfortable for weekdays. However, getting a seat on weekends can be difficult, so takeaway is a great option.

Price Update Notice
Dear Valued Customers,
Due to frequent market fluctuations, it has become challenging for us to maintain fixed prices—especially for dishes that contain lamb and goat. Updating our printed menu every time is not practical.
We kindly request that you check the latest prices on our website before ordering. You can also scan the QR code on our takeaway menu to view current prices and place your order.
Please note that effective 1 October 2025, there is a small price adjustment only for lamb and goat dishes a $2 increase for individual dishes and a $3 increase for additional dish selections in pack deals
This change is necessary due to the high cost of lamb and goat across Perth and Australia, driven by reduced sheep supply, seasonal conditions affecting feed, and strong market demand.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Dear Customers,

We have changed our policy with Uber Eats and DoorDash, making it mandatory for drivers to pick up food from the back door of the restaurant.

After this change, some Uber Eats drivers are not following the instructions and are only leaving reviews with us. We have changed this policy because we found some Uber Eats drivers behaving rudely, talking loudly on the phone and watching videos while waiting for food inside the restaurant.
Because of this, our customers, who were waiting for their food and eating in the restaurant, felt uncomfortable with the behavior of the drivers. We just want to let you know that what they wrote in their reviews is not happening.
