An Italian affair, told in three acts.
The evening begins beneath the hum of Postal Hall — a Negroni Sbagliato in hand, canapés in motion and the first notes of music gathering in the room.
From there, guests are drawn into POST, where Lucas Fernandes, Marco Bevilacqua of Mi Scusi and Head Chef Thyago Rocha come together for a four-course menu shaped by generous Italian cooking, exceptional produce and the kind of food made to loosen the table.
As glasses are refilled and conversation rises, the night continues upstairs to Cape Arid Rooms, where Mi Scusi’s dessert trolley takes its final turn.
A travelling dinner through the State Buildings, made for second pours, shared plates & stories that last long after the last course.

As spring brings new light to the city, the State Buildings offer a passage into Perth’s past — through rooms once filled with letters, ledgers, court proceedings and the daily movement of life in the 19th-century.
Once home to the General Post Office, Treasury and Courthouse, the buildings have stood at the heart of Perth for more than 140 years — bearing witness to the city as it has shifted, grown and gathered around them.

This September, Philippa joins author Angela Nikulinsky in conversation with Adrian Fini to celebrate the launch of "For the Seeker Who Walks".
Bringing together diary entries, artwork and stories, the book traces Philippa’s creative process from first observation to final watercolour, inviting readers to walk alongside one of Western Australia’s most celebrated artists through the landscapes that have shaped her life’s work.
Held in Postal Hall, the evening offers a rare glimpse into the world behind the page — the journeys taken, the details gathered, and the enduring beauty found by those who know where to look.

Pinot, read by instinct.
This August, the International Pinot Noir Tasting returns for its third year, bringing 18 wines from five countries into the glass for a blind tasting guided by some of the country’s most discerning palates.
At the heart of the program is Emma Farrelly, Director of Wine & Hospitality at State Buildings, whose instinct for discovery has shaped the precinct’s award-winning wine program over the past decade. Her deep affinity for Pinot Noir finds natural company beside Erin Larkin, whose work has carried her across the vineyards of Australia, New Zealand and beyond, alongside Julian Grounds and Philip Rich.
Together, they bring their own unique perspective to the table, guiding the room through a blind tasting where Pinot is read without assumptions. Just Pinot, considered glass by glass.
Following the tasting, guests are invited to continue the afternoon over a long lunch at Post, with further Pinot Noir poured at the table.

This August, Pinot Month moves from the ground floor to the rooftop, following one of wine’s most beguiling lineages through glass, cellar & table.
At Wine Merchant, the list belongs to the wider Pinot family — Noir, Gris, Blanc, Auxerrois & Meunier — each pour revealing a different inflection of fruit, texture, perfume and place.
At Wildflower, the focus turns to Red Burgundy, drawn from the cellar and poured by Coravin or bottle. A rare opportunity to sit with Pinot Noir in one of its most storied forms, alongside lunch or dinner above the city.

- From the train station, walk for about 6 minutes towards St Georges Terrace .
- Take Bus Route 950 from St Georges Terrace and alight at Barrack Street Jetty.
- Walk straight for approximately 400 meters to reach Cathedral Avenue.
Driving/Parking:
- If you’re coming from Perth Airport, head southeast on Miller Rd toward Fauntleroy Ave.
- Turn left onto Horrie Miller Dr then take the Tonkin Hwy/State Route 4 ramp to Perth City.
- Merge onto Tonkin Hwy/State Route 4 and continue onto Leach Hwy/State Route 7.
- Use the right lane to merge onto Graham Farmer Fwy/State Route 8 toward Mitchell Fwy Joondalup.
- Continue onto Mitchell Fwy/State Route 2 and exit at Hay Street heading east.
- Turn left onto Barrack Street and then turn right at The Esplanade leading into St Georges Terrace.
- From there, turn right onto Cathedral Avenue where your destination is located.
- There’s paid parking available within the hotel premises or you could also park in public car parks in the vicinity of the hotel.
