Treacle Treat is a delightful food stall located on Lefroy Road in Fremantle that specializes in Dutch traditional treats. They offer a variety of mouth-watering delicacies such as Stroopwafels, Poffertjes, Apple pie with homemade almond paste, and Zeeuwse Bolussen. The Zeeuwse Bolussen is a unique delicacy that dates back to the 17th century and is made by dividing and rolling the dough into individual ropes, pressing cinnamon sugar into them while forming them and then spiraling them into shape. This makes them sticky, gooey, and tender which results in an absolutely delicious treat. Treacle Treat also offers homemade "Appelbeignets" which are apple slices wrapped in puff pastry with homemade almond paste fried in oil - a traditional New Year's Eve treat. If you're looking for something sweet to satisfy your cravings, head over to Treacle Treat at the Freo Farmers Market on Sundays or other markets on Saturdays where they serve their scrumptious treats. Don't forget to treat yourself to some fresh Stroopwafels while you're there!
