NSS Crew - Hallie
We wanted to spend a bit of time and space this week highlighting one of the amazing assistant managers at North Street Store.
Hallie has worked at NSS for over a year now, and she is, in every sense of the word, the heart of our business. Her kind and caring nature shines through not only to the team but also to our lovely customers.
Hallie’s eagerness to always improve NSS for both the team and our customers — along with her genuine ability to connect with people — is why she’s so good at what she does.
If you haven’t already met Hallie, you should definitely say hi to her next time you’re in!

We are so excited to be working with
Emma, the founder, popped into the shop the other day, and Paddy and her ended up deep in conversation about all things matcha. Now… Paddy is not usually a matcha drinker. In fact, he fully admitted he thought the whole thing was a bit of a fad!
But then he tried it.
Between the flavour and hearing Emma’s story — how she fell in love with matcha and why she started the business — he was completely converted. So much so, his second drink of the day is now an iced matcha.
“It’s just so nutty and bright… and I can’t believe how the colour slowly changes through the milk as it sits there,” Paddy said after his first sip.
Here’s what makes this matcha so special:
• Organic — and one of the only Perth cafés serving organic matcha
• Single estate, from one family farm (most matchas are blended from different regions and cultivars)
• Single cultivar — traceable back to one specific variety and even a single field
• Spring harvest only — no blending with cheaper, more bitter autumn harvests
It’s also grown and shaded in a way that makes it incredibly high quality and more potent — giving it that vibrant colour, smooth mellow flavour (very little bitterness), and beautifully balanced effects: calm, focused, and energised.
Whether you already love matcha or not, you’ve just got to try this!

Tempeh whaaaaaattt?!
This delicious alternative to meat is about to blow your mind, it is nutty in flavour, texturally and bloody good for ya! Some even say it tastes better than chicken!!
Our new veg Sambo is gently tossed in our seasoned bread crumbs (spices, herbs) and then lightly fried. It is then sandwiched in our light milk loaf and layered with iceberg lettuce, pickled cucumbers, red onions, swiss cheese, and a decent helping of our homemade pesto mayo.
This new addition is light, tangy, juicy, and a meat-lover’s veg option. Comes with chips and is a must-try!

Broodje Kroket
Tanner has been dreaming of his time once spent in Holland. It was a different time when Tanner was there. He doesn't remember much, but he does remember this! A broodje kroket, it is an iconic Dutch fast-food sandwich consisting of a crispy, deep-fried meat croquette placed inside a soft bread roll.
Tanners take on the broodje is a rich braised beef croquette, served with rocket, pickled red onion, roasted capsicum, fermented lacto chilli and garlic aioli sandwiched between our famous North Street store baguette, unapologetically buttered.
This is a limited item and won’t last long, ready from 9 am tomrrow.

This Valentine's Day, we will have a limited stock of chocolate mousse & baked whipped yogurt (like a cheese cake) available to grab for a loved one or even for yourself!
Tanner has literally whipped up these luxurious jars of deliciousness!

To reach the coffee shop and deli located on North Street in Perth, you can use public transport or drive/park.
Public Transport:
Take the train or bus to Perth Train Station. From the station, walk towards Barrack Street and catch bus route 19 towards North Beach. Get off at the North Street East stop and walk eastward for a few minutes until you reach your destination.
Driving/Parking:
If you are driving, take the Mitchell Freeway north and exit at Vincent Street. Continue on Vincent Street for about 1km and turn left onto Scarborough Beach Road. Take another left onto North Street, where you will find limited street parking available. Alternatively, you can park at nearby car parks such as West End Car Park or Royal Perth Hospital Car Park, both within walking distance of the coffee shop and deli.
