It’s a big day today. And a sad one. Lana is working her last shift.
More than 5 and a half years ago, this young and confident woman turned up late for her first interview. But she had something. Something that made me think she was better than her late arrival.
And so it was proven. I’ve never seen a harder, more reliable worker than Lana. And she’s fast. Very fast. She’s also organised, happy, positive and incredibly accommodating, to both the customers and, more importantly, to me.
But now it’s time for Lana to try something different. And that’s great for her but really sad and difficult for all of us at Babylon. She will be missed, incredibly so, but I know that whatever she does and wherever she goes, she’ll bring her enthusiasm and energy to all those around her, just like she has for all her time at Babylon.

Tomorrow (Friday) we celebrate 11 years of Babylon_Cafe

Soup lovers rejoice! We start our winter offering with the most delicious Thai pumpkin, sweet potato and coconut soup.
Rich and comforting with a warming kick of spice, finished with crispy shallots and a sprinkle of fresh coriander. Vegan friendly, and served with a slice of bread.
